How much money will you need to retire? It may be more than you think.
A disturbing study released by the Kaiser Family Foundation and Hewitt Associates in 2004 showed that the number of large employers offering health benefits to retirees has fallen from two-thirds in the 1980s to one-third now.
To make matters worse, every year more employers jump on the "no coverage for retirees" bandwagon.
In 2005 one of every 8 large employers stopped offering some form of health coverage for future retirees.
So how much will this cost you? I hope you're sitting down.
According to Fidelity Investments, a 65 year old couple today will need around $200,000 more just to pay for BASIC medical expenses through their golden years.
