This Privacy Policy is applicable to Registered Users, Subscribers and Product Buyers of Dolans.com.

Your privacy, and the privacy of all Dolans Web Site Registered Users, Subscribers and Product Buyers is important to us, and we are committed to protecting the personal information you choose to share with us.  Accordingly, we have adopted the following privacy policy, based on the principles of notice, choice, access and security in the collection and use of all information regarding our members and their activities at Dolans.com.

When you visit Dolans.com.  Our server automatically recognizes the domain name of visitors.  We collect domain names only to keep statistics on which of our web pages are being accessed and how often.  We share them with no one.

When you fill out a form on Dolans.com.  When information is provided via feedback forms, we capture all of the information you provide.  This information is not compiled or used for any purpose other than to communicate with you.

When you participate in an online survey.  We may share survey information about our users with advertisers and business partners.  However, we keep and share only aggregate numbers.  For example, we will say x percent of our users are females and y percent males.  We do not reveal any individual information about you.

When you sign up for e-mail updates and free reports.  Dolans promotions, as well as outside advertising, may appear on e-mail updates and free reports.  Your e-mail address will not be shared with other companies or organizations.  All of our e-letters, alerts and special notices from Dolans.com and partners are sent only to those who have specifically agreed to our confirmed opt-in policy.  This ensures you are properly subscribed with a working address and with your consent.  You can remove your name from the e-mail subscription list at any time by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each of our e-mails.

What information do we gather?  Dolans.com may obtain three types of information from its Registered Users, Subscribers and Product Buyers:

1. registration, subscription or application data,
2. site usage data, and
3. voluntary postings.

Registration, Subscription or Application Data.  The only individually identifiable information that Dolans.com seeks about you is that which you are asked to provide when you register, subscribe, purchase a product within the Dolans.com website.  This information includes your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and billing information.

Site Usage Data.  We amass information to measure how our Registered Users, Subscribers, and Product Buyers use the web site.  This information may include statistics about the numbers and timing of unique visits to Dolans.com, repeat visits, and which pages are viewed.  We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

Voluntary Postings.  Dolans.com offers several avenues for Registered Users, Subscribers, and Product Buyers to volunteer statements, opinions, or other information which is then made available to others on Dolans.com.  We do not require Registered Users, Subscribers, or Product Buyers to include personally-identifiable information in these postings.  In fact, we generally discourage it.  The content of voluntary postings is the sole responsibility of the Registered Users, Subscribers or Product Buyers who post them, subject to the applicable Usage Agreement.

What do we do with personal information about you?  Your member data will be closely protected.

Many of the features on Dolans.com are designed to be “personalized” to meet the needs and interests of our Registered Users, Subscribers and Product Buyers.  To support this personalization, we need to be able to identify your account each time you log in to Dolans.com.

We may combine your application data and information about your usage of our Site with those of all or a particular group of our members, to prepare aggregated, non-identifiable profiles of our Registered Users, Subscribers and Product Buyers and their activities on our Site.  For example, we may track the number of our Registered Users, Subscribers and Product Buyers who view certain pages or use certain features.  Such information, and other aggregated information we derive from individual members’ information, allows us to continue to grow and provide you with timely and useful information through our Site.

With regard to our advertisers, we may provide them with non-identifiable, aggregated information about Dolans.com site traffic.  This information may also be disclosed in describing our web sites and services to prospective business partners and other third parties.  However, this aggregated information about website traffic will not include personally identifiable information.

Dolans.com also reserves the right to disclose information as required by law, or to the extent that we believe in good faith that such disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect others’ rights or property.

Registered Users, Subscribers and Product Buyers.  Dolans.com uses registration and subscription information to maintain records about your use of Dolans.com services, for billing purposes, and for us to occasionally send you information on products and services that Dolans.com or ACP Phillips Investment Resources, LLC, our parent company, offers.  If you do not wish to receive this information you may “opt out” by sending an e-mail stating such to unsubscribe@dolans.com.

Our Policy on “Cookies.”  Dolans.com may place a “cookie” in a file on your computer.  The cookie itself does not collect or reveal any personally identifying information about you.  They are not required for the Dolans.com site to function properly.  Transparent gifs or pixels may occasionally be used for the same purpose, but these also gather no personal information and have no effect on how you view our sites or how you navigate the site.  The company that serves ads on our Website uses cookies for various tracking purposes.  You always have the option of disabling cookies via your browser preferences.

When you click on a link to another web site.  This Web site contains links to other sites, including advertiser sites, and content partners.  These sites are not under our control and so are not covered by our Privacy Policy statement.

This site uses third-party advertising companies to serve ads.  These companies may use information (not including your name, address, e-mail address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.  In the course of serving advertisements to this site, the third-party advertising company may place or recognize a unique “cookie” on your browser.

When you participate in a forum.  You should be aware that when you voluntarily disclose personal information (e.g., user name, e-mail address) in the forums or during a chat, that information can be collected and used by others not connected with Dolans.com, and may result in unsolicited messages from them.

If you subscribe to a Dolans publication or purchase a Dolans product.  Dolans.com never sells your e-mail address, but if you supply us with your postal address when signing up for any of our services, you should be aware that from time to time we do make our subscriber list available to carefully screened companies for use in direct mail solicitations.  If you are a subscriber and would rather not receive such solicitations, send your mailing label to PO BOX 3248 LANCASTER PA 17604 and instruct ACP Phillips Investment Resources, LLC to exclude your name.

Submitting Information.  Please remember that voluntary postings submitted through our Submission Forms, along with all voluntary postings submitted through our Registered User or Subscriber web sites, are subject to widespread distribution.  Dolans.com members are solely responsible for the content of their postings and must follow acceptable standards of behavior when posting messages online.  Voluntary postings by Dolans.com Registered Users, Subscribers or Product Buyers become the property of Dolans.com, and we cannot restrict disclosures of or otherwise guarantee the privacy of any information contained in such postings.

The security of your information.  We take the security of your information quite seriously and are constantly improving our efforts to protect it.  When requesting your order information online, we will provide you with a secure (SSL, encrypted) connection to transmit such data.  Storage of your information for the fulfillment of subscriptions, orders and requests is likewise maintained on our secured servers.  However, no electronic communication over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secured.  Though we take great care to protect your personal information, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you submit to us, and you do so at your own risk.  We do not share your credit card information with other parties, other than those involved with the administration of your subscription.  We do not share other information except as described in this policy.

If any unauthorized use of your credit card occurs as a result of your credit card purchase from Dolans.com simply notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.  If, through no fault of your own, your credit card company finds credit card fraud as a result of your credit card purchase from Dolans.com but does not waive your entire liability for unauthorized charges, we will reimburse you for the remaining liability, up to a maximum of fifty U.S. dollars ($50.00) per card.  You can also take steps to secure your personal information.  When you are finished at Dolans.com, sign off the Dolans.com site and close your browser window.  This helps to ensure that someone else cannot pose as you online.  This is especially important if you are at a computer that is accessible to others in a public place, such as a library, a school or your office.
