Never, and we mean never, assume your insurance company is giving you all of the discounts you're entitled to. You could slice up to 40% off your annual premium—but only if you ask for the right discounts.  Check with your agent about discounts for safety devices, having a safe driving record, being a longtime customer, having multiple cars insured with the same company, raising your deductible, and getting your homeowner's insurance through the same company.
